What's an ALPIN CHALET?
ALPIN CHALET is a name, the registered trademark for our newly designed holiday houses. Big, comfortable holiday houses, modern alpine style, in amazing locations. No village. No clubs. Cosy like a hut! Open to nature like a loft. For individualists who prefer independent travel with several friends.
There are two different types of Chalets: The ALPIN CHALETs Classic and the ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain. The ALPIN CHALETs Classic are extremely comfortable for 12 to 18 people. The ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain are bigger – therefore XL. With more people it's even cheaper for the each individual. You will have your own sauna, big terrace, fantastic kitchen and generous living-eating-area. Exclusively for the small, private group, who rents an ALPIN CHALET together.
Flatlets in Flachau & Flachauwinkl - extra sleeping room
In Flachau & Flachauwinkl you have the possibility of renting an Alpin Flatlet as an extra sleeping room in combination with the ALPIN CHALET - directly nearby the ALPIN CHALETs - yet nervertheless having its own area. The Alpin Flatlets are five small apartments in the south wing of the two ALPIN CHALETs in Flachau & Flachauwinkl (for further information please browse under chalet - flatlet). Our flatlets are perfect for families, who might want to bring their grandmother with them, who like to retreat into her own area, or it could be that you are all couples and one or two more double rooms would be perfect. They are ideally positioned to offer you complete flexibility.
For bigger groups with 20 or more people, the ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain are ideal.

If you browse under 'location' you will find a detailed description. If you know Filzmoos, you might remember the junction, ahead to Filzmoos and left to district Neuberg. At this crossing you get your first glance of the very impressive, house mountain of Filzmoos - the Bischofsmütze (bishops hut). It is the junction where the Hotel Alpenhof is situated. Behind, there is a small village and at the end of this village you will find the ALPIN CHALETs.

Different group sizes
20 people
This is a fantastic concept, but isn’t 4 sleeping rooms for 20 people not enough?
If you know each other well and/or lots of kids are accompanying, 20 people is no problem. The ALPIN CHALET Classic have 4 sleeping nests, each with a shower/toilet, for a total of 16 people. Additionally, one room is furnished as a living-sleeping area: the Sun Room by the sauna (separated with 1 grandlit bed camps, shower and basin). In Flachau & Flachauwinkl for more people you have the possibility of renting an ALPIN FLATLET as an extra sleeping room in combination with the ALPIN CHALET. The ALPIN FLATLETs are five small apartments in the ALPIN CHALETs in Flachau (please find additional information under chalet - flatlet).
5 couples
We are 5 friendly couples and we like your concept. We want to have separated double rooms with double beds. How would it work?
That works well, nearly perfect. Have one couple in each of the 4 sleeping nests, that's clear. For the 5th couple the double sleeping camp (french grandlits) at the 'Sunroom' next to the sauna is available. This is a beautiful, very cosy room with a wintergarden-like window row to the terrace and its own shower and basin. Pls. for further information refer to above button.
4 families
We are 4 families with 1 to 3 children, all together we are 14 persons, and are interested in your chalets. How should we sleep?
ALPIN CHALETs are designed for this purpose. Without knowing the age of the children, it's hard to give an answer, but here are some examples:
example 1: with small children: every family in a sleeping nest.
example 2: The 6 children like to sleep in the sleeping ground - all children in one sleeping nest. The parents in the 3 further sleeping nests and in the 'Sun room' with the double sleeping berths next to each other.
Two further examples for uncomplicated spontaneous groups of friends - you should/could not plan every detail.
example 4: Open Chalet - „nothing is fixed“ - take things as they come and where you sleep could be switched at any time. It's enough space. Cabin fever within one week is impossible. The sleeping nests offer good and adequate possibilities for all to retreat.
example 5: Only suggested for teens and adults. According to the theme „First come – first served“: Whoever goes to bed first can choose first.
20 or more people
We are a group of 8 couples holidaying together since our university days. Since then 5 of us have had a family with 1 to 3 children and the group has now increased to 27 people. Your Homepage is great and we absolutely want to stay at the Chalets. Do we have enough room for 27 people?
Yes we do. The ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain are what you need. They have 9 Sleeping Nests (double bedded with 1 or 2 extra beds) - 5 rooms with shower/toilet and 2 family rooms which each have 2 adjoining sleeping rooms and a shared shower/toilet. Here you can find a building plan. Each of the sleeping nests has 4 beds.
Children’s discount
Does every mouth count, also kids under 6 years? Are there discounts for kids or family tariffs?
All children are counted as persons. There are indirectly discounts for kids, if the total number of persons exceeds 12 (18 in the ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain). Surcharges for the additional persons from 12 or 18 onward are very favourable. This is comparable to a reduction of approx. 70 %. We literally only charge a contribution towards expenses for laundry and energy. This is our way to support young people and families. Childproof and baby equipment
The ALPIN CHALETs are brand new and they have an absolutely safe construction. But of course they don´t replace a child minder. An oven is hot and can´t get removed. We have provided the best possible safe environment for our little guests. Baby equipment in the ALPIN CHALETs: height adjustable cot, highchair, swaddle place, nappy tub, tobbogan with backrest and an amazing baby buggy with winter or rather all terrain tyres. For the staircases from the ALPIN LOFT to the ALPIN ATRIUM below, we can provide a safety barrier, on request.

Are there discounts for groups?
Due to the gradation of prices from 12 people onward, it is de facto a group tariff.
halfboard and breakfast
We have always holidayed at hotels. Your Chalets caught our eyes. My sister with her family and friends would like to join us, but we are not fanatical cooks and would like to be spoiled, but do not to want to go outside. How is this organized. There two variations:
Delivery service for breakfast and dinner
Breakfast and dinner are prepared in advance and delivered in hot containers to the chalet. The eatingbar table in the kitchen is used to arrange the buffet and there you can serve yourselves. The catering dishes are picked up with next delivery. The delivery and return is very smooth - like brownies have been working. But you have to organize serving, dishes, cutlery, glasses and the washing up.

The ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain are also offered as catered Chalets. Conceived from the example of the upscale Chalets in the French Alps, for discerning guest from all over the word. Your chalet staff serve your meals in the chalet and clean up every day. Included in the service is: breakfast buffet, tea, coffee and pastry in the afternoon, 3 course home cooked dinner with wine. Are the ALPIN CHALETs accessible by car?
All ALPIN CHALETs are easily accessible by car. In Filzmoos each Chalet has carports for five cars. In Flachau, Wagrain & Flachauwinkl there is a car deck under the Chalets, with six or four spaces for each house. Further space for vehicles is available in front of the chalets at all locations.

In the low season there are shorttrips for 3 days bookable, daily arrival.

What is the altitude of the ALPIN CHALET?
The first two ALPIN CHALETs at Filzmoos-Neuberg are at 950 m above sea level, in a single location at the edge of a wood, on the outskirts of a small village. In Flachau the ALPIN CHALETs are at 927 m above sea level, directly at the beginning of Flachau. In Flachauwinkl the ALPIN CAHLETs are at 1016 m above sea level, situated on the hillside above the new ski station Highport Flachauwinkl - Zauchensee. In Wagrain the ALPIN CHALETs are at 915 m above sea level, situated on the hillside above the valley, at the beginning of the sunny Weberlandl.
proximity to lift
Is the lift within walking distance?
Yes, from all of the ALPIN CHALETs locations the ski lifts are reachable by foot. Two T-bar lifts connect Neuberg with Filzmoos. The ski area Filzmoos-Neuberg has 8 lifts. The ALPIN CHALETs at Filzmoos-Neuberg are quite exactly in between these 2 T-bar lifts: the Geierberglift and the Schwaigalmlift, each approx. 150 m away. You walk or skate over the cross-country slope.
In Flachau the ALPIN CHALETs are just a few meters away from the two main ski lift stations - Achter Jet and Space Jet, the ski school and the ski rental shop (approx. 400 m). And there is a ski bus station directly infront of the houses.
In Flachauwinkl the CHALETs are 150 m to the new cable car station Highport Flachauwinkl - Zauchensee and to the ski bus stop -Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl - Kleinarl with the ABSOLUT PARK, the ABSOLUT SCHOOL and THE STASH from Burton.
In Wagrain the nearest ski lift is the Egglift, 250m walk over the winter hiking path or the cross country slope. At the top station of this ski lift you have a connection slope to the gondola Flying Mozart - which is the main ski lift of the ski area Wagrain - Flachau.
linen and consumable material
What do we have to bring along? Linen? Bathrobe? Toiletpaper? ... „must“: only your personal belongings. Everything else is available. Just like when you arrive at a hotel. Beds are covered. The additional sleeping nests required are prepared. For every booked person 2 bath towels and one small towel are available. Initial provision (towels, toilet paper, kitchen roll, washing liquid, ...) is included in price. Everything else is charged according to cost price. Details at link „Services“. It's at your choice whether you use the inventory of the Chalet or buy yourself and bring to the ALPIN CHALET.
extras
What extra costs are to be expected?
The only additional cost is for the final cleaning, charged at Euro 195, - or Euro 295 for the ALPIN CHALETs XL in Wagrain.
Additional extra costs, which are usually charged at other holiday houses and flats, like local tax, energy, linen, small towels, ..., are included in the rental fee.
pre reservation – temporary option
Thanks for your mail. We do like your offer very much. We are a mixed group with 15 to 20 people. Until we reach everybody and know who will travel with us, we need some time to confirm. Could you give us a temporary option until end of next week? We grant groups like yours, in order to have some time to organize, a free-of-charge temporary option of up to 10 days. This should be sufficient normally. If you could come, it's perfect, if not, the chalet is without reservation again.
We do not give this option automatically - if you would like to, please inform us at the earliest possibility.
one hint from us, from experiences the first time:
If you have the right of the number of people coming with you, for which the single price is ok, then you should book. We have 12 ALPIN CHALETs (8 Classic and 4 XL) available and they get booked up quickly during 'peak time'. If you’ve made a reservation, it's no problem to increase the number of people (up to 24 or 30). The chalet is reserved for you in any case.
